Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Seller HQ / ShopHQ ("we", "us") collects when you use our Notion template, our website at shophq.tech, and our HQ Apps (including MockupHQ and ListingHQ), and how we use it.

1. What we collect

Purchase & account data — your name, email, and payment confirmation, handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card details.
Product usage data — for the desktop HQ Apps, your mockup templates, designs, and listing data are stored locally on your own computer. We do not receive or store this content on our servers unless you explicitly connect a sync feature that says so.
Etsy account data (if you connect your Etsy shop) — when you authorize a Seller HQ app to access your Etsy shop via Etsy's API, we request only the scopes needed for the feature you're using (for example, reading your listings to display them, or your shop's transaction data for reporting). We do not request access beyond what a feature needs, and we never post, edit, or delete anything in your Etsy shop without your explicit action.
Basic site analytics — aggregate, non-identifying traffic data for shophq.tech (e.g. page views), used to understand what content is useful.

2. How we use your data

To deliver the product or service you purchased or connected.
To provide customer support when you contact us.
To send you product updates related to something you've purchased (you can unsubscribe at any time).

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except the minimum needed to operate the service (e.g. our payment processor, or Etsy's API on your explicit authorization).

3. Etsy API data specifically

If you connect an Etsy shop, any data we read via Etsy's API (such as listing titles, tags, images, or order/transaction records) is used only to power the feature you enabled — for example, showing your current listing photos next to new mockups so you can compare them. We store the minimum copy needed to make that comparison fast, and you can disconnect your shop at any time, which stops further access and lets you request deletion of the cached copy.

We do not use your Etsy shop data for anything other than the feature you activated, and we do not share it with any other Etsy seller or third party.

4. Data retention & deletion

You can request deletion of any account or cached Etsy data we hold by emailing hello@shophq.tech. Local data stored on your own device (your mockup library, designs, and generated files) is entirely under your control — deleting the app or its data folder removes it immediately.

5. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for checkout and basic, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Children

Our products are intended for business use by adults running or managing an online shop. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page if this policy changes, and post material changes here before they take effect.
